Help Me Identify a Type Of Hair Cut???

Can someone help identify a type of hair cut? I always see girls who have it, but I don't know what its called.

It looks like this:

If you part it in the middle, from the back side the bottom looks like a wide "U" shape. The hair in the front is cut shorter than the hair in the back.

anyone know what it is called? thanks

You have a layered front and you DO NOT want a blunt cut in back...it should round at the corners at the back... Iwouldn't say it has an actual name. However, you did great at defining it.

tell your stylist you want layers in the front of your hair by the crown and that you want them to match up with a v shaped cut in the back in fact I think thats what its called a v shaped.

*** Just remember if you cut your hair like that and do not keep it trimmed the back side U will start becoming longer patches of hair than the rest of your head. Besides that it looks great when they cut it especially when the layers are blowdryed.
